For this project, customer service staff did not want their real photos displayed in the chat interface, but removing photos entirely risked making the experience feel impersonal.

I therefor designed a system of illustrated avatars based on staff photos, balancing anonymity with recognizability. The result keept the experience personal — without exposing the people behind it.
